The Triad Area Council is a membership of Board Volunteers and Chief Executive Officers of Boys & Girls Clubs in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
The purpose of the Area Council is sharing best practices, reviewing trends and identifying challenges and opportunities facing our organizations and the youth we serve. This exchange of information will allow Clubs to make the best plan of service and use of resources for our future.
The Council meets annually in August to elect officers,
present awards, and conduct the Hall of Fame installation.
It also meets periodically to:

Work and plan together for the benefit of local Clubs, the national Movement and young people

Interpret the purposes and programs of Boys & Girls Clubs to the public

Plan joint consideration and action with other organizations and agencies

Provide opportunities for conferences with the officers and staff of Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Initiate ideas, suggestions and proposals for National Council consideration

Review and discuss proposed changes to the Constitution and Membership Requirements of Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Assist in the expansion and improvement of the Boys & Girls Club Movement

Assist in securing support for Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Provide a forum for fellowship and networking among board volunteers
Council projects & services include:

Sponsorship of an annual board leaders conferences and training

Assistance with the promotion and establishment of new Boys & Girls Clubs

Coordination of joint marketing and communications efforts

Encouragement and assistance to developing Clubs
-
Assistance with National Conference planning and attendance

Help local Clubs within the Area Council which have been affected by a major crisis due to severe weather or other natural disasters
